Fundraising
Keen to raise awareness, and much needed funds, for the Hospice, Jane has organised everything from a games night “Bridge-a-thon” to a charity walk and golf day, to name but a few.
Her latest challenge? A skydive!
Speaking about her fundraising journey, Jane said, “I’ve had many close friends and acquaintances who have benefitted from the wonderful services offered by St Oswald’s Hospice. I have seen such care delivered by the most experienced and compassionate of people.
I decided to take on a skydive to help raise more funds for this wonderful organisation to help ensure it’s still here in the future.”
Organised through Sky-High Skydiving in County Durham, Jane took on her skydive challenge on Sunday 29th June.
Upon landing back on solid ground, Jane exclaimed, “The eagle has landed!”
Through sponsorship and support from her friends and family, Jane smashed her fundraising target, raising a fantastic £2745 which will go towards supporting our patients and their families.
Bethany George, Fundraising Co-Ordinator at St Oswald’s Hospice said, “A huge well done and thank you to Jane from all of us here at St Oswald’s.
Jane is amazing and she’s always got a fundraising idea or two up her sleeve. Her enthusiasm and passion for the Hospice is contagious, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.”
