A Will is vital for parents, homeowners, people in long term relationships or pet owners
Without a will, you have no control over what will happen to your money, your home and your belongings when you die. A will can protect those closest to you.
Yet writing a Will is a job many of us put off. Over 60% of adults in the UK have no Will or one needs updating. Let’s face it, it’s not something we relish, and it can seem confusing, time-consuming and a little scary. Whether you just need a simple Will which can be made online from the comfort of home or would prefer a face to face appointment, St Oswald’s works with professional Will writing companies to offer you some straightforward options. We can help get the job crossed off your list and give you peace of mind for the future.
We currently offer year-round free Wills thanks to our partnership with Beyond, the online Will experts and an annual Make a Will Month in June, working alongside local solicitors. Please click the links below for more information about your preferred service, or contact us if you need any help.

Make a Will Month
Throughout June every year, a number of local high street solicitors from across the North East offer Wills at a special rate to you and donate then you pay fee back to St Oswald’s. The benefits to Make a Will month is that, if they are participating, you can use your own local solicitor and benefit from a reduced cost Will or amendment to an existing one. It’s also a great choice if you have a more complex Will and wish to talk it through in more detail with a solicitor.
Look out for more information from May.
