And if that wasn’t enough, 11 staff members took part in the 2025 Great North Run, with family, friends and colleagues cheering them on all the way to the finish line.
Reflecting on the partnership, Bethany said, “We are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved this year for St Oswald’s Hospice. With the match funding, we know that this will make a real difference to those supported by the Hospice, making the effort even more rewarding.”
As part of their Charity of the Year commitment, a group from Hay & Kilner donated their time and skills through volunteering at the Hospice. Around 30 people took part in various initiatives including a thank-a-thon, retail support and lending a hand in the hospice warehouse.
Jill Hackworth, Fundraiser – Business Partnerships, said, “Thank you to everyone at Hay & Kilner for a fantastic year of support. The variety of activities and the engagement from your colleagues has been brilliant to see.
All of the services at St Oswald’s Hospice are free of charge, and corporate support helps ensure we can continue to be here for those who need us at the most difficult of times”
Looking ahead to 2026, Hay & Kilner are excited to be supporting the Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne art trail, launching in July. The company is sponsoring one of 40 sculptures which will be unveiled across Newcastle and North Tyneside to form part of a unique trail, supporting local families who rely on hospice care.
