Running a wheelie long way for charity

A Sunderland Council Waste Operative took on a marathon challenge for St Oswald’s on Sunday 4th October, by running 26.2 miles marathon whilst carrying a full sized wheelie bin!

Deano Franciosy, 51 from Sunderland has raised over £20,000 for charities in the North East over the last 20 years. His latest challenge saw him running the Virtual London Marathon for St Oswald’s Hospice. Running a marathon isn’t enough for Deano, so he has decided push himself even further by carrying a wheelie bin on his back too.
