There’s still more to do to make it a real ‘home from home’ for our young adults, but this marks a huge step forward. We’re now moving into the next phase of the project, getting everything fitted out and ready to welcome our first residents.
Holly Smith, Matron of our Children and Young Adults Service, said: “We’ve poured so much care into getting this right, because we know how important it is for young adults to have somewhere they can feel safe, supported and more independent.”
“This new space has been designed with their needs, hopes and future in mind – every detail has been thought through with them at the heart of it. I’m really looking forward to seeing it fully kitted out and, even more so, to seeing the difference it will make to the lives of those who’ll use it.”
This project has mainly been made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of the Winifred Futter Will Trust. We’re so grateful for their support in helping bring this vision to life.
