Harvey Nash reach £2400 in their fundraising for St Oswald’s Hospice

The team at Harvey Nash, Newcastle, have raised a fantastic £2400 as part of a fundraising drive for St Oswald’s. In October, it was all treats and no tricks at their spooky bake sale held at their offices within Hoults Yard. A selection of boo-tiful cakes and bakes were available to buy, raising money for the work of the Hospice.

Rachael Whitburn, Associate Consultant at Harvey Nash, said, “We first became involved with St Oswald’s Hospice when we were able to successfully recruit for a role within the Hospice’s IT department, waiving our usual fee in support of this fantastic organisation.”

To boost their fundraising, a group of 6 recently hiked part of Hadrian’s Wall. Despite the mixed weather on the day, the group covered 12 miles including taking in the iconic Sycamore Gap as part of their route.

Rachael added, “It is great to be able to support a local charity such as St Oswald’s. We recently visited the Hospice and this gave us a really valuable insight into their work, the amazing support and care they offer patients and their families.”

“To see and understand the hugely positive impact of fundraising and to know where the money goes is important, especially because within our organisation there are employees who have a personal connection to the Hospice.”

To date, the team has raised £2400 with more fundraising plans in the pipeline including following the upcoming Shaun On The Tyne art trail to add to their total.
