From the minute the doors opened on Friday morning the shop was busy with regulars and new faces popping in to say happy birthday and shop clothes, homeware, kids toys and more.
The team of volunteers and staff enjoyed lots of birthday cake, cards and even welcomed the Sunderland Echo in store.
An incredible £1500 was raised across the two days which will make a real impact to the lives of local families from across the North East including Sunderland says Anita Ball, Director of Income and Marketing at St Oswald’s Hospice:
“As the only Children and Young Adults Hospice in the North East, every purchase made with us helps provide free care for local people aged 0 to 25 who have a life‑limiting condition and support for their family and carers too. Our Sunderland shop plays a vital role in raising essential funds and increasing awareness, ensuring as many people as possible in Sunderland know about the specialist Children and Young Adults Service we offer.”
