Adrienne's Story

Make a Will Month happens in June and makes writing your Will easy regardless of whether you use our online services or in person services. During this special month, our friends and partners at trusted local Solicitors help our supporters write their Will, or update existing ones, and donate their fees back to St Oswald’s Hospice.

Our supporter and volunteer Adrienne saw our Make a Will Month campaign advertised in the Hospice and decided it was time to get organised and write her Will.

“The whole process was really easy, being guided through everything simplified it and made it more understandable. I’d recommend everyone to do it.”

“We travel a lot and like to know we are covered in case anything should happen. Once you have a Will in place it can be changed as life changes, we’ve had to make amendments over this last year and that was really easy to do.”

“It’s really worth having a Will, and it’s not just about finances. You can include funeral plans and have your say on what you want, so your family can make decisions when the time comes. It’s just easier for everyone to have one in place. It’s nice to feel organised and it’s a lot easier for those who have to deal with everything for you once you’ve gone”

“Volunteering at the Hospice I saw that Make a Will Month was happening and decided we should write our Will. We chose a local Solicitor and it was really simple. I’ve recommend it to friends and family who now have Will’s too, everyone should have one.”
