Kicking off the day with breakfast networking at St James’ Park - Page 2

Enthusiasm and excitement filled the air on Thursday morning as businesses gathered at the home of Newcastle United Football Club for the latest networking event hosted by St Oswald’s Hospice.

Held in the Magpie Suite at St James’ Park, with stunning pitch-side views, it was wonderful to welcome both new and familiar faces for a morning of conversation, connection and copious amount of tea and coffee.

Guests enjoyed breakfast refreshments, including a tempting selection of pastries, while learning more about St Oswald’s exciting upcoming initiatives. One special guest stole the spotlight – Peter Rabbit, star of the 2026 art trail Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne. Decked out in a Newcastle United football shirt, bucket hat, and his very own Toon scarf, Peter was a firm favourite among attendees.

Jane Hogan, Head of Fundraising at St Oswald’s Hospice, introduced the upcoming Art Trail, highlighting the role these creative campaigns play in supporting the Hospice and enriching the local community.

Sophie Hindhaugh, Senior Fundraiser for Business Partnerships, also shared details of our brand new fantasy football league – an exciting way for individuals and businesses to get involved and show their support. To get involved, please drop Sophie an email.

The event wrapped up with an invitation to our next event: Road to Wembley: Quality Time with Jones and Trippier, featuring our incredible Hospice ambassadors, NUFC Head Coach Graeme Jones and star defender Kieran Trippier. It’s tipped to be a sell-out so make sure to get your tickets secured.

Our next networking event will held on home turf at St Oswald’s Hospice where you’re invited to join us on Friday, August 8th in our Focus on Living Centre. Find out more and book your space here.
