Is digital communications and marketing your ‘thing’?
Could you be the newest addition to our brilliant Communications and Marketing team?
We’re looking for someone with a love of all things digital – who knows their way around social media, can understand the workings of a website and can craft a good-looking email. You’ll bring at least one year’s experience (paid or voluntary) in a similar role and be ready to get stuck in and help us improve our digital communications and marketing effectiveness.
Your days will be filled with a variety of digital communications and marketing tasks across all online channels. Whether that’s writing and scheduling social media content, monitoring comments, shooting a video, editing a reel, answering enquiries, creating a staff e-newsletter or uploading a story to our website. Every day will give you the opportunity to grow your digital skills and flex your creativity.
You’ll be passionate about St Oswald’s Hospice, the work we do and the people we help and care for. They’re at the forefront of all our digital communications and marketing.
You’ll work on a range of internal and external campaigns and projects – as part of a fun, friendly and dedicated team.
Excited? Great! We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have experienced using digital platforms (e.g. social media, web, email) and their management/analysis tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, WordPress etc).
- You’re confident responding to enquiries (in a friendly, helpful tone) and communicating with colleagues across the organisation to make sure the message gets to the right person.
- You’re skilled at writing and editing on-brand copy for digital channels with a clear call to action – and know how to engage different audiences.
- You’re passionate about shooting and editing great videos and reels that tell a story.
- You love learning new things, developing digital skills and you thrive in the buzz of a busy team.
Many people are put off by the idea of working in a hospice – but behind our doors you’ll find much joy, laughter and happiness. You’ll also find a warm, welcoming, flexible and supportive work environment – within an organisation and team of people who really care about you. We have great benefits and access to a wide range of education and development opportunities.
