Introducing ‘Meadow of Memories’

Dedicate a leaf on our ‘Meadow of Memories’ bench as a lasting tribute to a loved one.

Meet ‘Meadow of Memories’ painted by artist Julia Stafford.

This unique sculpture offers you the chance to create a lasting and meaningful tribute to someone you love. For a donation of £30 to St Oswald’s Hospice, we will add the name of your loved one to one of the 360 hand‑painted leaves decorating the bench—each one a gentle symbol of remembrance, watched over by Peter Rabbit himself.

Your dedication will allow Meadow of Memories to leave behind a legacy long after the trail has ended – to help St Oswald’s Hospice to continue providing expert care and support, free of charge, to local people and families facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

‘Meadow of Memories’ will be displayed throughout the Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne trail inside Newcastle Cathedral where you’ll be able to visit and see your tribute leaf in person. After the trail ends, the sculpture will return to St Oswald’s Hospice and take its place in one of the beautiful gardens—becoming a forever tribute to the special people we love and miss.

How it works:

  • We offer one size of leaf, priced at £30. If you would like to give an additional donation, these options will appear on the form for you to choose from. All funds raised will support the work of St Oswald’s Hospice, with local adults, children and their families.
  • Please ensure you correctly enter the names of the person you are paying tribute to. There is space to include a first name and surname only. We can not include messages or multiple names. If you wish to include more then one name on this sculpture, please purchase additional leaves.
  • The name will appear on the sculpture as it is written by you on the form. This will be handwritten.
  • ‘Meadow of Memories’ will be displayed inside Newcastle Cathedral, St Nicolas Square, Newcastle City Centre. It will remain there for the trail duration where it can be publicly viewed.
