Making a Will is the most important thing you can do to protect your loved ones

Not having a Will can lead to confusion, upset and uncertainty at what could be a very emotional time. Making the steps to get your affairs in order now will mean you can enjoy quality time with your family and friends, knowing that you have done everything you can to ensure they will be looked after. Thanks to participating high street solicitors from across the region, you can make your Will at a reduced rate this June, giving you peace of mind and something to tick off your to do list.

The suggested donation is £90 for a single will or £125 for a pair and your solicitor will make sure that every penny you give will come straight to St Oswald’s to make a difference.

Whether you are planning to move house, get married, start a new family or simply want to get organised, why not make June the month you get organised? If you have already have a Will, but need to make any changes, the Make Will month scheme is open to everyone, and allows you to get a great deal on making or updating your Will, while helping out a local charity.

Your donation will then be directed to St Oswald’s to support those in our care. Thank you.

Your lasting legacy

While there is no obligation to include a gift to St Oswald’s in your will, this might be something you would like to consider. Legacy gifts are a very special way to continue to support your favourite charity, and at St Oswald’s, they make up over 20% of all charitable gifts each received every year.

Don't take our word for it

“I did have a Will, but after my son was born, I suddenly realised I would need to update it to reflect this major life change. It felt irresponsible not to, it seemed a really important thing to do to prepare for my son’s future. God forbid should anything happen, I needed to know he was protected."

Don't take our word for it

"I decided to use a local solicitor to make my Will and the whole process was smooth and convenient. The solicitor I spoke to was very sensitive and professional. Once I had updated my Will, I felt a huge sense of relief. It might not be the most exciting of jobs, but it was a real weight off my mind to know I could now concentrate on all the exciting parts of being a mum"
