We’re on the lookout for a Retail Support Manager to support our shop teams and create an outstanding shopping experience for our generous local supporters.

You will have creative freedom to develop and merchandise our shops, work with an amazing team of staff and volunteers and help to shape the direction of new and exciting retail projects.

You will get a very generous holiday allowance and Sunday’s off. Unlike many other retailers, you won’t have to work over the Christmas/New Year period, Easter or Bank Holidays.

About you…

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable shopping, selling high quality second-hand goods and supporting the development of a wide range of retail platforms.

Previous experience of charity retail is NOT essential, but the desirable candidate will enjoy working in a customer facing environment such as customer service, retail or front of house. You’ll be people focused and wish to hold a key role within the shop team.

The role can be physically demanding at times but is equally fun, fast paced and very rewarding.

Our shop teams are incredibly important as they act as the link between St Oswald’s Hospice, our supporters and the local community.

You will:

  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Be numerate, literate and articulate
  • Have good IT skills to include Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Have a knowledge of EPOS systems

A full, current driving licence and access to a car is preferable for this role, St Oswald’s Hospice will cover your mileage expenses.
