Children and Young Adults garden officially open

The children and young adults who come to St Oswald’s Hospice for short breaks and care all have very different and complex needs, but there’s one thing they all have in common – they love to play!

Thanks to some very generous funders and supporters we now have our very own inclusive playground – helping us to create “Quality time for everyone”

This safe haven is enjoyed by our young people who can swing to their heart’s content, ride on a roundabout until they get dizzy and maybe even have a little bounce on a trampoline.

It’s been in use for a while now, but TODAY is the official opening of our Children’s Playground – what better week to officially open than Hospice Care Week.

This gives us a chance to say THANK YOU again to EVERYONE who made this possible, especially Greenfingers Charity who designed and project managed the garden, as well as involving other supporters.
