Meet Dr Christine

Christine is Chair of the Board of our Trustees and has a special interest in research. As a leader and innovator in the field of children, young people and family nursing, she has held senior positions across the North East within clinical practice, education and research.

She was also a lover of our recent art trail Shaun on the Tyne – as you can tell from this baa-rilliant pic!

What would be your ‘dream job’?

This is my dream role! I really enjoy how everyone involved with St Oswald’s Hospice focuses on delivering excellence in all that they do. Everyone working together in this positive way is so powerful in delivering the best for families in the North East.

What does being a Trustee mean to you?

For me, being a Trustee means teamwork. Together, along with my fellow board members, I love the way we all contribute to the work and ongoing excellence of the hospice.

Why did you decide to become a Trustee at St Oswald’s Hospice?

I wanted to use the skills and knowledge I had gained from my career as a nurse, researcher and educator for the benefit of families needing services at St Oswald’s Hospice. On a personal note, I have had two friends who have directly benefited from the Adult Inpatient Services and I will be forever grateful for the outstanding care and compassion they received.

Thank you to Christine for your commitment, direction and advice.
