Corporate Partnership with TSG goes from strength to strength following recent grant funding awarded to St Oswald’s Hospice

“Staff enjoy being able to be a part of ‘giving something back’ and this is especially rewarding to see through our partnership with St Oswald’s Hospice.”

Technology Services Group (TSG) first connected with the Hospice many years ago and earlier in 2023, this connection was rekindled when the Newcastle-based group awarded St Oswald’s a grant from the TSG foundation.

Company Chairman, David Stonehouse, said of the partnership, “St Oswald’s Hospice is an amazing regional charity supporting families during very difficult times. TSG is a national business which has its roots on Tyneside with staff and customers across Great Britain.”

He added, “Being national requires us to ensure any support we give is fair across all the communities we serve and we were delighted that our staff have chosen to support St Oswald’s.”

Established in 2022, the TSG Foundation is committed to release 2% of the company’s yearly profits to support various charities and communities across the UK, with the aim of equipping individuals with the tools and resources they need to succeed in an ever-evolving digital world.

Joanne Deane, Executive Assistant at TSG, said, “It is so rewarding to be involved with the TSG Foundation and to see the impact of the grants awarded. Those calls are so lovely to make when letting an organization know they’ve been successful.”

The grant awarded to St Oswald’s Hospice will be used to provide a much needed upgrade to the IT equipment used across the retail shops on high streets across the North East.

Joanne added, “Through the introduction of the TSG Foundation, staff are able to see the connection and the impact of the group’s support within their local communities. Staff enjoy being able to be part of ‘giving something back’.”

In September, TSG partnered with St Oswald’s Hospice for our Corporate Golf Day, using their corporate membership and donating their green fees to enable the day to be held at the fabulous Close House Golf Club. Teams from 23 businesses across the region gathered to play on the Lee Westwood Philly Course, where the sun shone and over £12,000 was raised to support the work of the Hospice.

Sonia Graham, Business Partnerships Manager at St Oswald’s Hospice, said, “The support we have received from TSG has been amazing. The kind donation of points for the Golf Day made for a really memorable event. The grant awarded to our retail department will make a huge difference as well. We’re so grateful to all at TSG for their generosity.”

Looking to the future, the connection between St Oswald’s Hospice and TSG is set to flourish with future plans including the implementation of a series of CSR (Corporate and Social Responsibility) days with the opportunity for TSG staff to participate in a Retail Take Over at one of the Hospice’s high street shops.

David Stonehouse added, “These choices by our team show how St Oswald’s mission and work touches the hearts of people nationally and not just in the North East.
Working with the staff at St Oswald’s has been delightful and helped forge a strong bond between our organisations – a partnership which we hope will continue in future years!”
