“When I first came to visit the Hospice I loved it. I know how important and crucial volunteers can be to an organisation so I wanted to give them something back, which is where the idea for the tea tasting session came from. I think everyone enjoyed it and I was surprised at how involved everyone got. It was a lovely event and I’m excited to see what happens in the future.” Natalie Santamera, Fundraiser at St Oswald’s, commented: “We can’t thank Liza and the team at The Tea Enthusiasts enough. It was great to get our volunteers together and catch up with a good cuppa. I’ll definitely be signing up for the monthly subscription as the flavours were so balanced and pleasant. We’re really excited to start this partnership with The Tea Enthusiasts and can’t thank them enough for sending over 100% of the profits of every sale of the Orange Cream Vitalitea.” To find out more or to purchase your St Oswald’s Hospice blend please visit the Tea Enthusiasts website. tea-enthusiasts.com
A sweet blend of chari-tea
We love an innovative fundraising idea at St Oswald’s even more than we enjoy the nation’s favourite drink!
So when a local business came up with a way to combine both, we thought it was just tea-riffic! Sometimes you just can’t beat a good cuppa. Here at St Oswald’s we understand that tea and a chat can be the best medicine to cheer anyone up. We are so excited to announce we now have our very own tea blend! The incredible team from The Tea Enthusiasts have put together a new blend of tea with 100% of the profits coming directly to St Oswald’s. We’ve recently celebrated Volunteers Week at St Oswald’s Hospice. So it seemed fitting to give our incredible fundraising volunteers a chance to decide which tea blend they preferred. Liza and the team from The Tea Enthusiasts came along and held a tea tasting session and everyone got involved. Winning with a majority vote was Orange Cream Vitalitea, a premium blend of white and green tea, the citrusy flavours are well-rounded and tastes like a celebration of summer flavours. wLiza Johnson, the owner of The Tea Enthusiasts tells us why she chose to create a blend in aid of St Oswald’s: “I wanted to give something back to the community, using ethical tea we’re always helping tea growers around the world but we didn’t do much here. St Oswald’s is on our doorstep and with members of my family receiving palliative care I couldn’t think of a better cause. “A lot of my tea blends offer health benefits as I think it’s really important. My mum has a condition so I often create blends with family requirements in mind, so I can try and supply to everyone.
