Research project - Validation of the Self-competence in Death Work Scale

Among helping professionals in palliative and hospice care in the UK

The aim of this study is to validate the Death Work Scale that assesses the self-competence of helping professionals working with death-related issues in the UK.

The study will also help explore the personal and professional wellbeing of participants who do death work.

After validation, this scale will help to examine the preparedness of helping professionals in working with terminally ill patients and bereaved families.

It will also contribute to the development of professional self-care strategy in palliative/hospice care.
