Driving off into the sunset
Louise Liddle, 36 from Rowlands Gill, decided she wanted to do something in honour of her friend who had benefitted from hospice care, so she signed up to take part in the Great North Run 2020 to raise funds for St Oswald’s, her local hospice.
Like many others, Louise was disappointed to hear about the Great North Run’s cancellation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She had been training hard and was determined to not only beat her time from last year, but raise vital funds for the local charity close to her heart. Luckily for Louise, she spotted St Oswald’s announcement of a virtual event called Challenge 13, organised as an alternative to the Great North Run and was one of the first to sign up.
