We are a registered charity and we rely on the generosity of local businesses, individuals, groups and companies to enable us to care for local people and their families, when they need us most.

Did you know...

St Oswald’s relies on the generosity of local communities to help us to keep our doors open. We need to raise over £7.5 million each year through charitable giving and we simply couldn’t do it without you.

By setting up a regular gift, playing the lottery, raising money through a challenge or event, or buying any of our merchandise, you’re helping to contribute to our annual costs, which in turn, helps us to continue to provide the excellent care for all of our patients and their families.

How your money helps

£5 provides a meal for a patient

It always tastes better when someone else cooks it. Our catering team provide freshly cooked meals throughout the day, catering for our patients specialist and complex dietary needs. Many of our patients use feeding tubes or have dietary requirements; our team will happily create tasty food suitable for their needs. Our patients can have whatever they want, whenever they want.

£20 provides one hour of nursing care

Our nursing teams are on hand 24 hours a day to provide care, comfort and support to patients and their families. Sometimes we forget a nurse isn’t just there to attend to medical needs, it’s the extra details such as celebrating birthdays, organising pet visits and even just sitting for a cuppa and a chat. We always want to make sure a stay with us is as homely and as comfortable as possible for our patients.

£38 provides a day’s supply of Oxygen

Breathing comes so naturally to us that we don’t even have to think about it. However, many of our patients and children need piped oxygen to help support this vital function.

Your sponsorship will be a breath of fresh air to those in our care.
