Ferry operator DFDS is showing its support for St. Oswald’s by donating 100 per cent of the proceeds from special charity mini cruises to Amsterdam this Autumn and Winter.
Customers can choose whether to donate £35, £45 or £55 per person in return for their mini cruise ticket. The ticket includes two nights in an en suite cabin, a variety of on board entertainment, and return coach transfers to the centre of Amsterdam with up to five hours to explore the city. Voyagers can make the most of their time away knowing that 100 per cent of their chosen donation will directly benefit the patients and families we care for.
Some of our Communications and Fundraising teams took a trip to the ferry terminal to meet the captain and have our photo taken against the backdrop of the impressive ferry.
Jane Hogan from our Charity Business Partnerships team said:
We are delighted to have been chosen as beneficiaries for DFDS’s Charity Mini Cruise. It’s a fantastic offer which we think will be very popular among those looking for a city break this Autumn, with the added benefit that the money will directly support the work of a local charity. Working in partnership with companies like DFDS is vital to allow St Oswald’s Hospice to continue to offer care to adults, young people and children with life-limiting conditions. We urge everyone to ‘get on board’ with this fantastic offer and take a cruise in support of St Oswald’s.
The charity mini cruises run on selected dates until 19 December and customers can book until 30 November.
DFDS’ Newcastle-Amsterdam cruise ferries are equipped with four restaurants including the Explorers’ Steakhouse, an all-you-can-eat world-food buffet in the 7 Seas, the Blue Riband à la carte restaurant and ‘Little Italy’, a pasta and pizza restaurant. Other on board facilities include a shop, a casino, a cinema and a Kidz club to keep children entertained.
