House Clearance Operative - 22.5 hours per week

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. We are recruiting two people for this post.
As part of our wider support services we offer a professional full House Clearance Service to anyone who needs it. You do not need to have a connection to St Oswald’s Hospice to take advantage of this service. If you are moving home, have inherited a property or have a relative going into care, whatever the circumstances, we can help you. We are experts in providing comfort and care at some of the most difficult times of people’s lives. Our professional team will manage your house clearance quickly, efficiently and sensitively. You can feel happy knowing you are making a real difference to the lives of local people.
You will help contribute to fundraising of St Oswald’s Hospice to achieve maximum profit and sales targets and promoting the ideals of St Oswald’s Hospice through Retail & House Clearance operations.
- Be able to drive Hospice vehicles up to 3.5 tonne
- Have held a full driving licence for at least 2 years
- Have basic secondary education but no formal qualifications
- Be physically able to undertake the full remit of the role
- Have a clean driving license including up to 3.5 tonne vehicle and is able to meet our insurance procedures
This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
Must be flexible to work irregular hours as demanded by the requirements of the post.
