- Can you whip up a creative communications plan that will get the message out there?
- Could you be the newest addition to our growing Communications and Marketing team?
“Busy. Brilliant. The Best.”
That’s how people have described our team.
And now, we’re looking for a creative communicator with a love of marketing who is willing to get stuck in, work hard – and more importantly, make a real impact to support the work we do with our patients and their families.
As a Hospice Communications and Marketing Officer, your days will be filled with searching out stories, creating content for a range of audiences and busting myths about what Hospice Care is really like. You’ll be just as comfortable chatting with our Directors as you are to patients including children, young people and adults with life-limiting conditions.
You’re be a real wordsmith with fresh ideas. You’ll love adapting the voice and style of writing to suit the audience – from patients and families, to staff and volunteers, supporters and general public, to the media, and even health care professionals. There’s lots of variety in what you’ll be asked to produce from social media posts, to patient leaflets, staff newsletters, annual reports, press releases and more.
Working alongside your fellow officer, Abbie, you’ll work on a range of internal and external campaigns and projects – and you’ll be happy to take the lead where needed.
Excited?
Great! We’d love to hear from you if you’re…
✔ Empathetic and caring – with great communication and relationship building skills
✔ An experienced communications/marketing/copywriting pro – with a portfolio of at least two years’ relevant work you’d proudly talk to us about
✔ An enthusiastic ‘doer’ – you thrive in the buzz of a busy and varied environment and can ‘keep calm and carry on’ when deadlines are tight
Many people are unsure about working in a hospice – but behind our doors you’ll find much joy, laughter and happiness (along with inevitably a few tears). You’ll also find a warm, welcoming and supportive work environment – within an organisation and team of people who really care about you. We have great benefits and access to a wide range of education and development opportunities.
