Share a Card
Share a Card this Christmas
Do you want to save time writing out Christmas cards, avoid a dull wait in a queue at the post office and help to support those with life-limiting illnesses this Christmas? You can do all of that by taking part in St Oswald’s Share a Card with your friends, colleagues or group.
You will receive a beautifully designed large Christmas card which allows you to share your season’s greetings your friends, families, club mates, colleagues and school friends, while showing your support for the Hospice.
Share a Card is really simple. Instead of buying, writing out, and sending lots of individual cards, you can ask your friends, family and colleagues to write their festive messages inside the large card instead and proudly display it for all to see! The group then gives a donation (such as the amount they saved on buying and posting individual cards) to St Oswald’s, which helps us to continue providing care for local adults and children with life limiting conditions. It’s a great alternative to the traditional way of sending Christmas cards.
This year’s Share a Card was designed by Jessica, Ava, Lee and Edward who use St Oswald’s Children and Young Adult’s Service for short breaks and respite. The young people worked with our volunteer Catherine and used their finger, thumb and footprints to create this very festive design of cosy penguins against a snowy backdrop, complete with fairy lights and snowflakes.

By taking part in Share a Card, supporters can help children and young adults like by Jessica, Ava, Lee and Edward who rely on St Oswald’s services not only at Christmas, but all year round.
Jessica’s mum, Laura Gray said:
“Jessica is nine years old and has been coming to St Oswald’s for short breaks for seven years now.
She really enjoys her stays as she loves getting involved in all the activities, such as crafts, the sensory room, music therapy and trips out.
As Jessica is partially sighted she loves coming in to the Hospice at Christmas
as there’s a lot more lights that she loves to look at!”
Every penny raised from Share Card, whether you choose our paper or E-card, will help us provide quality care to adults, young people and children from across the region this Christmas and beyond. Thank you for your support.
