  • A gift of £1,044 (that’s £87 per month or just £2.90 per day) would fund four days of friendship and companionship for one of our Day Hospice patients

In return for your Gift of Friendship, you will receive the following:

As a Premier Membe you’ll receive an email banner enabling you to highlight your support of St Oswald’s. We will also announce your membership through our Twitter page.

    Our Day Hospice patients say:

“I was initially very nervous but my first week was an absolute revelation, everyone was so cheerful, friendly, upbeat and my nerves were quickly put at ease. After two visits I’d made new friends and felt very comfortable with the staff and volunteers. All of the patients are in a similar position so I never feel like I have to explain myself or apologise if I’m not 100%.”

  • A gift of £2,763 (that’s £230 per month or £7.68 a day) will provide a short break of three nights in our Children's Service with all the love, support and individual care a child needs to feel safe and secure.

We provide short breaks and respite care to local children with a limiting-illness. Leaving a child with a complex condition overnight can be very difficult for parents and knowing they will receive individually tailored care is crucial. The chance for families to spend some quality time with their other children and have timeout for themselves is essential to enable them to recharge their batteries, safe in the knowledge their child is being well looked after.

In return for your Gift of Precious Family Time, you will receive the following:

    • An email banner to show your support of St Oswald’s
    • Priority viewing of new service developments
    • A quarterly update from one of our care team letting you know the difference you are making to the lives of local children
    • An announcement of your membership on our Twitter page

Families who use our children’s service say:

“Words cannot express how important a role you all play in families lives when they need you the most. You are a tremendous support and we have been privileged to experience your unique skills when we needed them.”

  • A gift of £4,053 (that’s £338 a month or £11.27 a day) will provide a full week of relaxing days and peaceful nights for a patient staying on our inpatient unit.

Our inpatient unit offers end of life care and pain and symptom management to patients with a range of conditions. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and secure environment which allows patients and their loved ones to relax and feel at home. The skills of our whole team are brought together to create a ‘security blanket’ of care at a  time when our patients need it the most.

In return for your Gift of Sleep, you will receive the following:

    • An email banner to show your support of St Oswald’s
    • Priority viewing of any new service developments
    • A nominated week which you can use to celebrate the positive difference you are making to St Oswald’s
    • A letter from a key member of our care team sharing the stories from your week
    • An invitation to an annual celebration and the chance to meet our care team
    • An announcement of your membership on our Twitter page
    • An opportunity for a corporate volunteering day

    Families of our inpatients say:

St Oswald’s is a special place. An oasis. A sanctuary. The doctors and nursing staff are all such special, caring people. My husband said often how safe he felt there. I can’t think what would have happened to us if St Oswald’s had not taken us in.
