St Oswald's Annual Christmas Market
Our annual Christmas Market was held at the Hospice on Saturday 25th November and we welcomed over 1600 visitors throughout the day.
The event was opened brilliantly by the cast of The Tyne Theatre and Opera House pantomime, who gave out sweets to those who braved the cold to get to the front of the queue. They also popped in to our Children and Young Adults service to say hello to the young people staying with us.
Visitors were treated to an array of stalls selling food, drink and gifts. There was lots of family fun in the shape of Hartbeeps, Whitehouse Farm, Northumbria Police and Tyne and Wear Fire Service and Seven Stories.
Santa was as popular as ever, with a steady queue of young visitors to his Grotto throughout the day.
And the event culminated with the eagerly anticipated draw of our Annual Raffle winners, with the top prize of a brand new car! Congratulations to the lucky winners, who have now all been notified. Winning ticket numbers for all the raffles and games at the market can be viewed here.
A very big thank you to our wonderful team of staff and volunteers who worked tirelessley to make the market a huge success. We wish you all a very merry Christmas.
