Could you be the sponsor one of our fabulous final three?

Did you know that 47 members of our 50 strong Elmer’s Great North Parade herd have now been snapped up by a sponsor? And that the trail opens in just six weeks? We are looking for businesses to get on board and sponsor one of our fabulous final three and be part of an exciting Tyne & Wear wide event that will engage the hearts and minds of the region and beyond.

Available for sponsor...

'Brightside' - Richardson Dees Park, Wallsend

'And the prize for the most appropriate name goes to… Brightside, who lives up to his reputation as a bold, colourful and eye-catching herd member. He’s a rainbow of colour with his roots firmly in the North East, sporting the iconic Earl Grey Monument of Newcastle up on Tyne right over his heart. Inspired by the artist, Inspiratori Art’s, Anglo-Indian heritage and the inclusivity promoted by his big brother Elmer, Brightside is a fusion of culture that captures the diversity of the North East and will add a pop of colour to its home in Richardson Dees Park.

‘Feathered Friends’ - Marine Park, South Shields

Feathered Friends was created by artist, illustrator and avid ornithologist Matt Sewell. Decorated in a calming palette of blues and greens, this Elmer features cute little bird characters who have flocked to their elephant friend for a natter and a chin wag. Located in the beautiful Marine Park in South Shields, this amazing elephant will enjoy a scenic view and the company of his feathered friends who call the park home.

‘Hakuna Ma Elephant’ - Northumberland Park

Ever seen a flamingo, hummingbird or a lion in Northumberland Park? Hakuna Ma Elephant is a bit of a wild one, bringing the safari to North Shields. Inspired by the natural habitat of the endangered African elephant and other animals who share its home, Wildlife artist Jina Gelder has used inks and watercolours to bring all of your favourite animals to life. With the release of the Lion King remake this summer, we think Hakuna is going to be king of the trail with our visitors.

If you can't afford not to be part of the biggest event in Tyne and Wear this autumn, please give our Project Lead, Jane Hogan, a call on 07801 237250 or email sponsors@greatnorthelmer.co.uk.
