The Elmer sculptures are beautiful pieces of art for everyone to enjoy and they have a very important job - they will be sold at auction to raise much needed funds for St Oswald's Children's Hospice. Refurbishing them costs St Oswald's money which could be used to provide much needed care, love and support to families.

Please do not climb on them and help us spread the word. Thank you.

Check you’re connected to the internet, either via WiFi or a mobile network. Make sure you have the latest update installed on your device. Close the app completely and re-open it (or restart your device). Finally review the app permissions and ensure everything is checked. Fill in your email and age details. You should get through to the Contact Preferences and Terms and Conditions screen. Make sure you read and agree to the T&Cs to continue. Still no luck? Please email hello@greatnorthelmer.co.uk with the following: the make and model of your phone; the version of android you’re running (if applicable); the email address you’re using to register; a loose indication of the time the error occurred. We’ll then get back to you as soon as we can.

Select Open Trail on the home screen to use the map; pinch and swipe the map to zoom in and out. Location settings need to be turned ON to see your location on the map. Or go to the Trail tab to access the sculpture listings and search for the sculpture name, artist or location.

There is a 4 digit code found on the sculpture’s plaque. There are two ways to unlock it on the app. You can do a Quick Unlock by clicking on the unlock icon on the Total tab at the top of the screen and entering the code there. Or you can enter the code on the sculpture page.

You can upload a photo to the app Gallery by clicking upload. You’ll be asked to either take a photo or choose from library. Images uploaded will be vetted by the Elmer's Great North Parade team prior to being published on the app. Your photo will be seen by other app players and can be shared on social media. So get creative!

If you’ve already unlocked a sculpture the app will display an incorrect code message. Check your sculpture listing pages to see if you have already collected it. If not, it could be an error we need to fix, so please let us know the code and scuplture by email hello@greatnorthelmer.co.uk
