Safety is of the utmost importance, so you’ll a undergo training for around one hour whilst the fire walk lanes are being prepared. Once the fire has burned to red-hot embers it’s prepared for the walk leaving a 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit path. Participants are then invited to walk across the coals barefoot one by one.
If you’d like to take part in this fiery fundraiser you and your colleagues can sign up for our hot offer price of just £25 per person. We ask all our firewalk participants to aim to raise £100 through donations and sponsorship to complete the challenge – why not put a team together and set a fundraising target, asking colleagues, friends and family to donate towards your efforts.
Danielle Harvey, Fundraiser at St Oswald's Hospice, said:
"We are thrilled to be part of this exciting World Record Attempt and urge the businesses who support us to get behind this World Record attempt! This is a great event for our supporters who like a unique challenge to get their adrenaline going, and we look forward to being part of the fun. Events like these help us continue to support our patients, as well as their families and carers. They are also a great way for us to raise awareness of the care we offer at the Hospice."
