Volunteering
We have over 1000 volunteers working at St Oswald's. Some work directly with patients, others provide crucial support behind the scenes or in our shops. A massive thank you goes out to you all.
Christine Ward, Volunteer Services Manager said:
"Without the support of our volunteers, St Oswald's would be a much poorer place. Volunteers currently outweigh staff members 4:1. We have volunteers from the age of 16, up to people who are old enough to know better! We are so lucky to have such an amazing army of volunteers with such a wealth of experience, knowledge and drive."
Christine added:
"Without the support of our volunteers, St Oswald's would be a very different place. They are vital to our work."

What do we look for in a volunteer?
- A commitment to St Oswald's and what we stand for.
- A realistic time commitment. There is no minimum requirement, most volunteers offer 3 to 4 hours per week.
- A willingness to undertake training.
