Volunteering

There is a wide range of volunteering opportunities at St Oswald's. Without the support of our volunteers, we simply could not provide all our vital services to local people.

At St Oswald's, we have over 600 volunteers who donate their time and skills to support staff in almost every aspect of our work. Some volunteers work directly with patients, others provide crucial support behind the scenes or in our shops.

A recent Volunteer Value Survey found that collectively, our volunteers donate 132,080 hours of their time to us annually. The monetary value of this support equates to a massive £1.1million per year.

To find out what it’s really like to be a volunteer at St Oswald’s why not take a look at some of our volunteer stories.
