Payroll Giving
Make a tax free donation through your salary.
The Payroll Giving scheme - or Give As You Earn - is an easy way to make regular, tax-free donations to St Oswald’s.
Each time you receive your regular salary, an amount agreed by you is deducted by your Payroll Department before the tax is calculated.
For example:
- if you agree to give £5 to St Oswald’s, you only pay £3.90 - if you are a basic rate tax payer,
- the taxman will add £1.10,
- the total amount received by St Oswald’s is £5, but the donation will only cost you £3.90.
How do I sign up for payroll giving?
Anyone can give if their pay or pension is taxed through PAYE and their employer offers a Payroll Giving Scheme. If there isn't a scheme already in operation, why not ask to set one up?
