Meet our Fundraisers
St Oswald's Fabulous Fundraisers!
The role of a Fundraiser is varied. They can often be found giving talks to community groups, schools or companies, attending coffee mornings and cheque presentations, or organising events such as the Midnight Walk and Light up a Life. Fundraisers are also on hand to offer advice and support to members of the community who are organising events for us.
Supported by a small army of volunteers, we’d like to introduce you to our seven Community Fundraisers:
Senior Community Fundraiser
VivViv Williamson joined St Oswald’s in August 2007 and loves being part of fundraising team. Viv is responsible for the line management of the Community Fundraisers and implementing the Fundraising Strategy. Viv’s main focus is Corporate Fundraising and developing high-level corporate partnerships, charity of the year nominations and sponsorship of the major events and campaigns.

Gateshead and North Durham
JennieJennie Evans, originally from Chester but now living in Gateshead, is our Community Fundraiser for Gateshead and North Durham. Jennie joined the Fundraising Team in August 2008 and has enjoyed developing relationships with supporters in her area.

Northumberland
JayneJayne Crow is our Community Fundraiser for Northumberland. Jayne, from Heaton, previously worked as an Assistant Store Manager at Oxfam.

ZoeZoe Mulvenna joined St Oswald’s in 2009 and is the part time Community Fundraiser for Newcastle. Zoe splits her week as working as a Community Fundraiser and Fundraising Co-ordinator. She is excited to meet new and existing supporters in her area.

AmyAmy Wilson is our Community Fundraiser for Newcastle. Amy, from Durham, joined St Oswald's in August 2008 and has previously worked as a Fundraiser at Amnesty International. Amy was originally the Fundraiser for North Tyneside but now covers the Newcastle area.

North Tyneside (shared with Lyn) and South Tyneside (Children's Service)
DorothyDorothy Alderton, who lives in Jarrow, is our Community Fundraiser for North Tyneside and South Tyneside. Dorothy will work with Lyn to help supporters from the North Tyneside area and will raise funds for our Children’s Service from the South Tyneside area. After taking a secondment from her twenty years in the civil service, to a small children’s charity based at the Newcastle General Hospital, Dorothy realised that she wanted a career in fundraising and joined us in August 2007.

LynLyn Cain joined St Oswald’s in 2006 as a Fundraising Co-ordinator. Since January 2010 she has split her role to work as a part time Community Fundraiser for North Tyneside, whilst still keeping up her post as Co-ordinator. Lyn is excited to take on this new challenge and meet new and existing supporters in her area.
