Join us for a fun day of watersports at Ellerton Lake, North Yorkshire, for your Life List charity challenge. Perfect for groups of friends, colleagues or family to get out in nature and have a fun day out whilst raising money for a North East charity.
Your challenge day will begin with an introduction to canoeing (wide, stable boats) and some fun games to get you confident on the water. Then after lunch, you’ll move onto kayaks (narrower cot pit boats) to test your new skills – and learn some new ones! Once you have mastered the ability to turn when you want to and stay above the water, then you could try a tour of the lake in your kayak or try out some faster moving water if you’re feeling brave.
At the end of the day and once you're confident with both crafts you'll have a chance to play some games - and get very wet! There is also the opportunity for jumps off the jetty and some improvised rafting.
You will be provided with safety equipment and a fully qualified instructor will guide you through the day. Changing rooms and showers are available too.
For Bronze challenges, we ask that you raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 towards our work with North East families. We can help you every step of the way, just make sure you have filled in our registration form so we can contact you about your fantastic challenge.
