Aim: The aim of the session is to increase staff knowledge and skills in assessing and managing patients with respiratory problems.

 

Learning objectives:

  • Be given the opportunity to demonstrate their clinical skills and competence in caring for a range of patients with respiratory problems.
  • Assess respiratory status appropriately.
  • Initiate appropriate nursing interventions for patients experiencing respiratory difficulties
  • Develop an understanding of the critical application of the current issues involved in caring for patients with respiratory problems with regard to local and national policies, guidelines and agendas.
