A challenge which needs no introduction!
Established back in 1981, the London Marathon is one of the top six international marathons, hosted globally each year, and currently holds the world record for the largest annual fundraising event. Over the years it has raised over £450million for charity. This year, could you add to that total?
Starting out at three separate sights across Blackheath, the course converges around 3 miles in. This is a spectacular course showcasing some of London’s greatest sights and tourist attractions including; the Old Royal Naval College, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharfe, the London Eye, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. You have all this to take in before reaching the finish line which lies at The Mall alongside St James’s Park. The final section of the course was used as part of the London 2012 Olympic marathon course so this is no small challenge.
This iconic event attracts professional and amateur athletes from across the globe. The course has changed little since the race began and is now engrained in British history. So if ever there was a time to lace up those trainers and get involved it is today!
