The UK’s biggest cycling festival and takes place here in the North East.

Date: Friday 16th - Saturday June 17th 2017

The three day festival is available to cyclists of all abilities and ages – the perfect family friendly charity challenge!

The Virgin Money Tyne 6 Bridges

 - leisure rides begin the Cyclone on Friday 16th June. The Rides take in all six iconic bridges on the Tyne and are suitable for all ages and abilities, covering 10.5 – 15.5 traffic-free miles depending on the route chosen.

Entry fee is £8 for all ages. On the day of the event all riders must sign on individually. This is a requirement for insurance purposes. However parents of children under 14 will be allowed to sign on their behalf and must accompany them on the ride.

The Virgin Money Cyclone Challenge

- for more experienced cyclists,  rides return later on Saturday 17th June with three revised routes and distances - 34 mile, 64 mile, 90 mile and 106 mile - each start and end at Newcastle Falcons’ Kingston Park homeground and take in some of the North East’s most stunning scenery. These events are not races but do allow those who wish, to test themselves, set their own goals and ride to raise money for charity. The event attracts riders from both inside and outside the UK and the 2016 edition will be the 10th Anniversary of the event.
